Hope you're on the way to recovery now Pete

Getting there, but not for this weekend. Which is a pity because...
1. I could have gone climbing (and would have loved to go climbing on Stac Pollaidh).
2. I could have given you a lift.
3. We could have climbed together (and you could have dragged me up something hard!).

However, thinking I might still be able to make use of you to return three small nuts to Johnny (and maybe get my Boa back at the same time), so would that be OK?

surprised you haven't skinned yourself sliding on gabbro! :-/

Just a bit (see reply to Keith Alexander's comment on my blog post).

Excellent Isi, we all just need to agree a venue weather dependent!  (I like the look of Bats in the Belfry and Release the Bats on Stac Pollaidh!)

I'll be finished work by 5pm on Friday, can be in the Fort on the bus that gets in just before 7. Now have to be back to work a bar shift Monday evening (I'm too nice. Or possibly too skint because I bought too many shiny things. Again.) but got the weekend clear.

Bad luck Pete.  We had a fun day on the Ben doing Douglas Boulder Direct route (only pitched a couple of bits, moved together the rest); soloed Tower Ridge except for the gap where the wind was ferocious, but okay on the other side.  Tiring but a good day all the same.

Phil and I were blown out of the Glen tonight, even had to move branches off the road to get back out.  But it was warm!

Afraid I'm almost certainly out of it now, being currently sat at home with strong painkillers from the doctor for my ribs after sliding 10/12 ft down a gabbro slab and hitting the ground (probably the first time I've ever come off a VS slab)!

For all that (and it only got really sore later after continuing to climb somewhat more awkwardly), had a great day's climbing at Ardnamurchan with Johnny, doing Greta Gabbro (VS), Claude (HVS), Vulcan (VS, where I had that stupid slip off the first pitch and we appear to have finished up the harder Dead Ringer on the second), Pyroclast (Severe) and Ringmaster (VS). Also quite windy enough without going anywhere near the Ben (check out the arcing rope in attached photo)!

A repeat, but I'm definitely up for next weekend.  Just done Douglas boulder Direct and Tower Ridge with Phil and Graham.  Mostly solo/moving together, except for two pitches (?) on Douglas boulder and Tower Gap.  Yes Johnny the wind was vicious, hand and knees job, but the rest of the route was sheltered/okay!
