In the past I may have even felt a tinge of jealousy but it seems that old age or maybe its trying to get my boat back in the water - has somehow blunted my appetite for dangling from rocks at the moment.
Ardnamurchan is doubtless a pleasant enough venue for climbing but my memories of it are clouded by 'that drive'. On my first visit I had Tony Barton for company, who , having not long returned from one of his 'greater ranges' trips, was able to keep me entertained with tales of derring do as we wound down those long twisting tedious miles.
I must be getting old - right enough.
