Stunning day on the Ben.
« on: 29 February 2016, 16:50 »
Myself and Matt decided on an early start for the Ben on Saturday so along with Johnny and John we left the top car park around 6am. The early start got us second place on the Curtain which was in relatively good condition and climbed in two pitches. We had left our packs at the bottom of the route so after a quick descent of ledge route we wandered over to Waterfall gully.
We didn't have long to wait before we got on the route unfortunately we got held up by some slow moving traffic and didn't get to ledge route until quite late we did however make the top of Carn Dearg in time to see the most gorgeous sunset. Descent down the red burn and onwards to the top car park flew by as Conditions underfoot were pretty good.
A terrific day, great climbing and good company what more could you ask for.

Give me a hour or two and I'll see if I can think of something.
